How long do lift supports last?

Most auto lift supports last around 50,000 miles, depending on how much you use them. These components can start to fail for several reasons, including fluid leaks from the pneumatic valve is the most common cause. Once secure, remove the flat bale clip from one post, then repeat for the other. Next, put the new support in place and snap the post into the component’s mount. Repeat the previous step for the other post. Finally, release the liftgate slowly to check if the new components are working smoothly.
